Pramod Joshi

Pramod is a practicing Barrister (dual qualified) in England & Wales as well as being a Cayman Islands attorney (Admitted 2014). He practiced in England for 22 years (Called in 1992; Inner Temple) of which over 12 years were in the Temple in central London, before he was invited to join a firm in the Cayman Islands in 2014.

In addition to his law degree and Bar Vocation Course, he holds a Master of Business Administration post-graduate qualification from the University of Sheffield and has since being on the islands attained the INSOL International and RISA Cayman, Introductory Certificate in Insolvency Law and Practice in the Cayman Islands.

Now with over 30 years in the practice of law, Pramod has built up a broad range of experience in civil litigation. That includes personal injury claims (his pupillage was with a pre-eminent personal injury set in the East Midlands), employment disputes, professional negligence complaints, property and strata matters, business disputes and contractual debt recovery issues, and he was also for a number of years an experienced family lawyer.

In recognition of his local expertise, in November 2025 Pramod was appointed a Chairman of the Cayman Islands Labour Tribunal with a tenure to the end of April 2027.

He has also been a volunteer member at the Board of Trustees to the Chamber Pension Fund since December 2023 (Industry and Commerce sector).

Prior to joining Broadhurst LLC he was for over five years employed by McGrath Tonner LLP, latterly as a partner.

Pramod is a fluent Hindi speaker and retains close cultural ties to India – he can converse fluently in Urdu and has a basic understanding of Punjabi and Gujarati languages.

Pramod was a regular volunteer in Cayman at Legal Befrienders and has the honour of being awarded the Lee A Freeman Service Award four times for 2017, 2022, 2023, and 2025 for the pro bono work done at Legal Befrienders.
